Red Rock County Park is a fairly large event venue near Gallup New Mexico right off of I40. We stayed here in late October 2021. This park has a partial hook up camping loop with a mix of long term campers and overnighters. It is a nice community. There are 2 trailheads in the park that allow you to climb the rocks. The trails connect so you could make a long day of hiking. They have rodeos here and a balloon festival. I enjoyed my hike. There were challenging elements walking across the rocks but I did it. The dogs were little mountain goats. I kept wanting to see what was around the next curve and turning around to enjoy the view. There was an interesting museum in the event center where we checked in for the campground. The museum wasn't open but there were some fascinating displays behind the windows.
