Lost Dutchman State Park in Arizona is one of my favorite places we have stayed. We stayed here in September of 2020 and February of 2022. I preferred the September visit. It was very hot but way less crowded and more birds and wildlife. It was nice in the evenings and mornings and not hard to find inside stuff to do in Apache Junction, the nearby town. I loved the hiking trails and watching the quail. I enjoyed the tourist trap of Goldfield and the drive down the highway to a lake and tiny town.
