Buckskin Mountain State Park is just over the California border into Arizona. It is a little south of Lake Havasu and a little north of Quartizite. It is a very popular wintering location and there are a lot of rv parks and state park units here. This park was more rv park style that state park style and seemed to have a lot of gatherings in the clubhouse for the campers. The fishing looked popular and there was a boat ramp and small beach. There was even an outdoor game area on the river. There is one trail head by the entrance of the park. You climb the hill and it opens up into an amazing network of trails all across the tops of the mountains. I didn’t have time to go far but I got to watch sunset from the top of the mountains.
